Low back pain is so common, that in our lifetime approximately 80% of us will suffer it. Whether it's a stiff back from over/under use or sharp stabbing pain caused by an injury, most complaints fall into 2 categories.
- Structural problems mostly arise from an injury causing the spine to become misaligned
- Muscular troubles start when you lift, twist or do an unfamiliar task or movement that puts unwanted strain on the back muscles.
In both cases the initial response of the body is to go into spasm. That is the feeling of the back "going out". Sometimes in moderate to severe cases you may hear or feel a "click" at that crucial time.
The sooner you get treatment, the sooner you will heal.
